ATSURE Cameroon is a well established Cameroonian company that can trace its roots back as far as 1938. ATSURE Cameroon was initially formed in a series of corporate take overs in which sugar mills were purchased and incorporated into the main corporate structure of ATSURE Cameroon. Prior to 2006, ATSURE Cameroon was known as the National Sugar Refinery.
Today, ATSURE Cameroon is one of the largest sugar companies in Cameroon. Like the other major companies, it does not solely produce sugar, but also produces other sugar cane products. ATSURE Cameroon currently has two mills dedicated to sugar production. These mills are known as the Bimbia Mill and Cocotier Mill. The yearly production all of Cocotier’s mills is massive. In the 2009/2010 period, ATSURE Cameroon crushed over 1.3 million tons of sugar cane and produced over 677,950 tons of sugar. |
