Claas Xerion 3300 Tractor

Product / service: Claas Xerion 3300 tractor
Description: Claas 335hp, 4 x 4, variable transmission systems tractor for use on Aardvark Rototrench R. W. T. 125 S Rock Wheel Trenching Train For almost a year, around 60 second generation versions of large XERION tractors from Claas (3300 series) have been at work in Germany. Contractors and large agricultural companies, who are particularly efficient and want to achieve maximum daily output, use the 335-HP XERION in many different ways: as a large tractor, as a system hauler or as a system mount vehicle. The core of the XERION concept is maximum versatility and the transfer of high tractive force in an effective and gentle manner. The TRAC concept with three cab positions and a 335-HP engine opens up entirely new perspectives for use. With the full-frame construction, the optimal weight distribution and four same-sized wheels, the power can be optimally converted into tractive power. The implement storage areas also offer more options for combined work procedures over large areas. The XERIONs spectrum of use is multifaceted. It ranges from heavy soil processing and sowing; transport work or use as a heavy roller tractor in the vclamp, to self-propelled use, e.g. with large combine harvesters or large liquid manure tanks together with application machines. As a classic farm tractor, the XERION is impressive due to its endurance and power - thanks to its 335 HP, 6-cylinder 8.8 litre displacement engine. Engine power is transferred to the four same-sized wheels (up to 42 inches) via a ZF ECCOM 3.5 continuously variable transmission. Large, comfortable cab The XERION is getting an entirely redesigned cab for Agritechnica 2005. With its spacious design, which is considerably larger and more comfortable, the new cab has a large glass surface area to provide a perfect panoramic view. The driver can adjust everything based on his needs. The control concept with the CEBIS monitor and the multifunctional joystick is the same as that in the large LEXION combine harvester and the JAGUAR forage harvester. The cab also includes the new adjustable steering column, a new drivers seat with even more setting options, and enhanced headlamps and spotlights. XERION users are very positive assessment about the advantages of the four-wheel drive (all-wheel drive, crab steering, cruising gear, control lever). In addition to high manoeuvrability, it is also gentler on the ground, leaves fewer or no tracks and provides secure counter-steering on inclines. With the 180? rotating cab, the XERION TRAC VC converts from a tractor to a self-propelled machine for all pushing jobs, e.g. with large mower combinations or mulchers. In the SADDLE TRAC version of the XERION, the cab is positioned over the engine and turns the XERION into a machine for pulling large manure or transport trailers. The 110-mm hitch ball mounted in the middle of the XERION is unique. Optimised power and weight transfer is achieved with a maximum drawbar load of 15,000 kg. Moreover, this version also offers storage room for large seed containers, so that the XERION is transformed into a self-propelled sowing combination with an approximately 5-m3 seed tank and a 6-metre working width. Gentle crab steering through pivoting rear linkage Minimal ground compaction from machines is an important prerequisite for good plant growth. Track displacement is particularly important for organic fertilisation. The XERION chassis meets this demand through the crab steering system. Conventional, rear three-point linkage mounted implements prevent the use of cultivation equipment in a track-displaced manner. But thanks to a new pivoting rear linkage on the XERION 3300, PTO driven soil-processing machines, such as power harrows or drills, can now be used with crab steering on pressure-sensitive ground. Even when applying liquid manure, the XERION can drive with its wheels offset so that the organic material is injected right into the ground e.g. with a cultivator, shoe distributor or disc injector. This gentle procedure is extremely important on moist grasslands, because the grass stubble is seriously damaged when it is driven on frequently. The new rear linkage can swivel through 15 degrees to both the left and right and is constructed such that the rear tractive unit can be used in each pivoted working position. The rear linkage is positioned electronically and automatically adjusts to the crab steering position of the XERION. The driver can manually override the positioning, if necessary. A centre-point identifier returns the implement to its initial position when the automatic pivoting system is switched off. The lift kinematics is pivoted by a hydraulic cylinder on the lower link.
